Is it this really Iram of the Pillars that has no like in the countries?

هل هذه هي فعلاً إرم ذات العماد التي لم يخلق مثلها في البلاد؟

Some time ago a friend showed me some pictures that he received via the internet claiming the discovery of "Iram of the Pillars", a city mentioned in Quran, under Ahqaf sand dunes in the Dhofar region of Oman. I told my friend that the picture are fake.

منذ مدة أراني صديق لي بعض الصور أتته عن طريق الإنترنت على أنها صور لـ "إرم ذات العماد" التي ورد ذكرها في القرآن الكريم وأنها اكتشفت تحت كثبان الأحقاف في منطقة ظفار في سلطنة عُمان. فذكرت لصديقي بأن i`i الصور مزيفة.

Few years ago I received an email with the same images. Having a doubt about the issue, I started searching the internet to find out that the pictures of Ellora Buddhist, Hindu and Jain temples located South-West of Aurangabad city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. They consist of 34 caves carved over 2 km in the rocks of Charanandri foothills and are listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

إذ أنني منذ عدة سنوات استلمت نفس هذه الصور في إيميل. ولشكي في الموضوع قمت وقتها بالبحث في الإنترنت لأجد أنها لمعابد إلورا البوذية والهندوسية ولرهبان الجاين الموجودة شمال غرب مدينة أورانغباد في ولاية ماهاراشترا الهندية. وهي مكونة من 34 كهفاً نحتت على طول 2 كيلومترا في صخور سفوح تلال تشاراناندري ومصنفة كواحدة من مواقع اليونسكو للتراث العالمي.

The temples were built over five consecutive centuries;12 Buddhist caves between 600-800 AD; 17 Hindu cave between 600-900 AD; and 5 caves for Jain monks between 800-1000 AD.

وقد بنيت خلال خمسة قرون متعاقبة. 12 كهفاً بوذياً بنيت ما بين عام 600-800 م و17 كهفاً هندوسياً بنيت مابين عام 600-900 م و 5 كهوف لرهبان الجاين بنيت مابين عام 800-1000 م.
