This year is the third season for "Ramadanana Kida" (this is how our Ramadan is) held in the old historical Jeddah along with activities that resemble the old days of Jeddah down town. Alleys become bustling with sellers, running kids, traditional food and sweet stands. Historical Jeddah is a maze of pedestrian stone cobbled narrow alleys with old building distinguished by their beautiful 'roshan' woodworks that adorn windows overlooking the alleys below. Alleys are lit expressing the festive of Ramadan.

هذا العام هو الموسم الثالث لمهرجان "رمضاننا كدا" (اي هكذا هو رمضاننا) الذي يقام في مدينة جدة التاريخية القديمة مع الأنشطة القديمة التي تماثل الايام الخوالي في جدة القديمة. حيث تصبح الأزقة تعج بالبائعين والأطفال المحتفلين وأكشاك الأطعمة والحلويات التقليدية. جدة التاريخية هي متاهة من الأزقة الضيقة طرقاتها مرصوفة بالحجر تمر بين مبان قديمة تتميز بالروشان الخشبي الجميل الذي يزين الشبابيك المطلة على الحارات تحتها. والمصابيح المضيئة معلقة بين المباني احتفالا بالشهر الكريم.

This is done during Bern Onion Market (or Zibelemärit in German) which is a traditional one-day annual festival held on the fourth Monday in November. Since the early 15th century, farmers from the surrounding areas, bring some tons and tons (40 – 50) of onions - in artistically woven plaits to the federal capital of Switzerland to sell them.

Big names delve into Ramadan festive every year with brand chocolates, like Armani Dolci, Le Roche, Patchi, Giorgio Armani, Godiva, etc. Most of the offerings address the packaging and presentation with some Islamic ornaments and inscriptions. None addresses the content itself or the shapes of the chocolate pieces, except one chocolatier that I found in Riyadh, Levo Chocolatier. In Islam Iftar is breaking the fast at sunset after a day of fasting from food, drinks, smoking and foul sayings starting at Fajr (dawn). Though Ramadan tent feast offerings vary both in cuisine and in style, but all begin iftar traditionally with dates and water, juice and Arabic coffee.

One day I was driving in An-naim district in Jeddah and I spotted a spectacular architecture that looked like a flying saucer. I couldn't resist stopping and taking some photos of what I found to be Aisha Mosque, named after late lady Aisha Kaki. It was inaugurated in 2008 and can accommodate 1400 worshipers. The mosque has a library, meeting room and Islamic study classrooms.

كنت أقود سيارتي في أحد الأيام يقود في حي النعيم في جدة فلفت انباهي بناء رائع يشبه الطبق الطائر. فلم أستطع المقاومة أوقفت سيارتي وقمت بالتقاط بعض الصور لما وجدت بأنه مسجد عائشة، وقد سمي باسم المرحومة السيدة عائشة كعكي. وقد تم افتتاحه في عام 2008، ويمكنه أن يستوعب 1400 مصلياً. وفي للمسجد مكتبة وقاعة اجتماعات وفصول دراسية للدراسات الإسلامية.
