I used to think that white gold is platinum and I used to wonder, how is it sold at the same price as yellow gold in spite that platinum is rare and an expensive? Like yellow gold, white gold can be 22ct, 21ct, 18ct, 14ct or any karat. For example, 18ct yellow gold is made by mixing 75% gold with 25% of other metals such as copper and zinc. 18ct white gold is made by mixing 75% gold with 25% of silver and palladium. So the amount of gold is the same but the alloy is different. 21ct has 87.5% gold and 22ct has 91.7% gold.

Two of them were made from local New York nursing mothers milk and the third from an imported milk from a Wisconsin mother. Earlier in 2011 a London Baby Gaga Ice Cream Shop offered ice cream made of human milk.

A new study led by scientists from the American Museum of Natural History has identified nearly 180 species of fish that glow in the deep. The study was published in PLOS ONE. It explains that the red, orange, yellow, and green components of sunlight are removed with depth of seas leaving a narrow band of blue light. Specific protein in fish absorbs it, converts it and emits it in a different color for varied reasons including communication and mating.

في دراسة حديثة بقيادة علماء من المتحف الأمريكي للتاريخ الطبيعي تم تحديد ما يقرب من 180 صنفاً من الأسماك تضيء في الأعماق. وقد نشرت هذه الدراسة في مجلة بلوس وان. وتشرح الدراسة أن أعماق البحار تزيل الألوان الأحمر والبرتقالي والأخضر من الطيف الضوئي وتبقي حزمة ضيقة من الضوء الأزرق. تقوم الأسماك بامتصاص هذا الضوء ثم يقوم بروتين خاص في جسم الأسماك بتحوليه إلى ألوان أخرى وبثه لأسباب مختلفة كالتخاطب والتزاوج.

For the last 31 years, in winter from January 5 to February 25, a magical city made of ice glows brightly in the northern Chinese city of Harbin at temperatures that could go as low as -35°C. Enchanting ice castles, towers and building illuminated with colored lights form the centerpiece of the Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival. The event, which has the world's largest snow sculptures, draws around a million visitors every year.
