Spectacular 1.7km wide and 108m high falls between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

شلالات مذهلة بعرض 1.7 كم وارتفاع 108 م بين زامبيا وزيمبابوي.

In local language Victoria Falls is called Mosi-oa-Tunya which means the Smoke that Thunders.

تسمى شلالات فيكتوريا في اللغة المحلية "موزي اوا تونيا" و تعني الدخان الذي يرعد.

Victoria Falls is located in southern Africa on the Zambeze River on the borders between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are positioned almost exactly half way along the mighty Zambezi River's 2,700 km journey from its source to the sea. Here the river plunges headlong into a 100m vertical chasm spanning the full one-and-a-half kilometer width of the river. Creating the biggest curtain of falling water in the world. Victoria Falls is approximately 1,700m wide, and varies in height from 80-108 meters.

تقع شلالات فيكتوريا في مناطق جنوب أفريقيا على نهر زامبيزي على الحدود ما بين زامبيا وزيمبابوي. وهي في منتصف الطريق تقريباً على طول مجرى نهر زامبيزي العظيم على بعد 2,700 كيلومتر من منبعه متجها إلى البحر. وهنا في هذه البقعة يهوي النهر في فجوة رأسية ارتفاعها حوالي 100 متر بامتداد بطول كيلومتر ونصف على كامل عرض النهر. صانعة أكبر ستارة من المياه المتساقطة في العالم. يبلغ عرض شلالات فيكتوريا حوالي 1,700 متراً، ويختلف ارتفاعها من 80 إلى 108 مترًا.

Around mid-April is when peak flood waters occur. Roughly 625 million liters of water flow over the edge per minute. This huge volume of water produces a spray that rises up to 500 meters into the air.

في منتصف شهر أبريل تقريباً، تحدث ذروة مياه الفيضان. ويتدفق ما يقرب من 625 مليون لتر من المياه في الدقيقةفي الدقيقة عبر الحافة. ويؤدي هذا الحجم الهائل من الماء إلى رذاذًا يرتفع إلى حوالي 500 متر في الهواء.
