ألا تشبه شفاهاً قانية لامرأة فاتنة؟

These gorgeous red luscious lips belong to a plant known as Psychotria Elata, a tropical tree found in the rain forests of Central and South American countries like Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador. Psychotria Elata is called Hooker's Lips or the Hot Lips Plants. The plant attracts pollinators including hummingbirds and butterflies to kiss its lips, so transferring pollen from flower stamen to pollinate the ovary.

هذه الشفاه الحمراء القانية الفاتنة هي لنبات معروف باسم سيكوتوريا إلاتا، وهو نبات إستوائي يوجد في الغابات المطيرة في بلدان أمريكا الوسطى والجنوبية مثل كولومبيا وكوستاريكا وبنما والاكوادور. ويطلق على هذه النبات اسم شعبي وهو نبات شفاه الغواني (المومسات) أو نبات الشفاه الساخنة. وتجذب هذه الشفاه القانية من يود تقبيلها من الملقحات من الطيور الطنانة والفراشات فهذا يساهم في نقل غبار الطلع من السداة إلى المبيض لتلقيحها.

Sadly, the bracts are only kissable for a short while, before they spread open to reveal the plant’s real flowers.

للأسف فإن الشفتان تبقيان مغريتان للتقبيل لفترة قصيرة فقط قبل أن تتباعدا سامحة بخروج الأزهار الحقيقية للنبات.
