What seems to have human skin color and mutated face is, in fact, a long-nosed monkey or proboscis monkey, known as the bekantan. The proboscis monkey is a large species that inhabits Borneo island in the Pacific.

Males measure 66 to 76.2 cm and weigh 16 to 22.5 kg, while females measure 53.3 to 62 cm and weigh 7 to 12 kg. They generally live in groups composed of one adult male, some adult females (polygamy) and their offspring. Females become sexually mature at the age of five years. Mating largely take place between February and November, while births occur between March and May. Copulations tend to last for half a minute. They primarily eat fruits, leaves, flowers, seeds and insects to a lesser extent.

طول الذكور مابين 66 إلى 76 سم ووزنها ما بين 16 إلى 23 كجم، بينما الإناث مابين 53 إلى 62 سم ووزنها 7 إلى 12 كجم. وهذه القرود تعيش بشكل عام في مجموعات تتكون من ذكر بالغ، وعدة إناث بالغات (تعدد الزوجات) مع ذريته. تصبح الإناث ناضجة جنسيا في سن الخامسة. ويحدث التزاوج غالبا ما بين شهري فبراير ونوفمبر، بينما تحدث الولادات ما بين مارس ومايو. يستمر الجماع عادة مدة نصف دقيقة فقط. وهذه القرود تتغذى في المقام الأول على الفواكه والأوراق والزهور والبذور وعلى الحشرات بنسبة أقل.
