The Glasswinged butterfly (Greta oto) is a splendid butterfly with transparent wings, like glass, hence the name. The opaque borders of its wings are dark brown sometimes tinted with red or orange, and its body is dark in color. The wingspan is between 5 to 6 cm. It is found in South America.

فراشة الأجنحة الزجاجية (غريتا اوتو) هي فراشة رائعة الجمال ذات أجنحة شفافة، كأنها مصنوعة من الزجاج. ومن هنا جاءت تسميتها. إطار أجنحتها بني داكن اللون وفي بعض الأحيان يشوبه اللون الأحمر أو البرتقالي، وجسمها داكن اللون. جناحيها يمتدان ما بين 5 و 6 سم. وتوجد في أمريكا الجنوبية.
