Not a Sci-Fi scene, but real clouds over Kamchatka volcano, in Russia.

ليس مشهدا من الخيال العلمي ولكنها سحب حقيقية فوق بركان كامتشاتكا في روسيا.

The first time I saw these photos I doubted that they are Photoshoped. But, no they are real nature phenomena called lenticular clouds. They are created when moist air flows along the surface of Earth encounter natural or man-made obstructions, like hills, valleys, mountains, buildings, etc. The obstructions disrupt the flow of air into eddies and may result in a series of large-scale standing waves. If the temperature at the crest of the wave drops to the dew point, moisture in the air may condense to form lenticular clouds. As long as the ambient weather conditions (winds, humidity) are unchanged, the cloud won't move, appearing to hover near those obstructions.

حين رأيت هذه الصور أول مرة شككت بأنها مزورة بالفوتوشوب. ولكن، كلا إنها ظواهر طبيعية حقيقية تسمى السحب العدسية نسبة لشكل العدسة. ويتم حدوثها عندما يصطدم تدفق الهواء الرطب السائر على سطح الأرض بعوائق طبيعية أو من صنع الإنسان، مثل التلال والوديان والجبال والمباني، إلخ. تشوش هذه العوائق تدفق الهواء وتجعله يتحول إلى دوامات قد تؤدي إلى تتابع موجات كبيرة ومستمرة. فإذا انخفضت درجة الحرارة في قمة الموجات هذه إلى درجة الندى يمكن أن تتكثف رطوبة الهواء فتشكل السحب العدسية. وما دامت الظروف الجوية المحيطة (من الرياح والرطوبة) لا تغيير، فإن السحابة لا تتحرك، فتظهر كأنها تحوم قرب تلك العوائق.
