The Indian Sangli sisters, Savita, 23, Monisha, 18, and 16-year-old Savitri , are blighted by one of the rarest conditions in the world - werewolf syndrome.

They are like other young women except that their bodies are covered from head to foot with thick hair. Werewolf syndrome - or hypertricosis universalis - affects just one in a BILLION people but in an incredible quirk of fate all THREE sisters have the condition. Werewolf syndrome is a genetic mutation where cells, that normally switch off hair growth in unusual areas, like the eyelids and forehead, are left switched on. The sisters use hair remover cream every day, but to little avail.

Indian child Pruthviraj Patil has suffered from Werewolf Syndrome since birth. He is believed to be one of only 50 people in the world with this condition. His family have tried a range of treatments, including homeopathy, traditional Indian Ayurvedic remedies and more recently laser surgery. But none has proved successful, even after laser treatment hear grows back.

Chinese Yu Zhenhuan is the world's hairiest man with hair covering 96 percent of his body. Having previously starred in a number of movies and flirting with a singing career, Zhenhuan attempted to land the lead role of The Monkey King in a television adaptation of Journey to the West. He was born in a farmer family and when he was only 2 years old his parents noticed he had hair coming out of his auditory canals. His situation worsened as he grew up and now almost his entire body is covered with long thick hair. He undertook a laser treatment to have his hair removed one by one, with limited success.
