Many people know that China has more pyramids than Eygpt.

كثيرون لا يعرفون أن في الصين عدد من الأهرامات يفوق ما في مصر.

These photographs of Anlong pyramids, in southwest China's Guizhou Province, sparked an online debate about their origins. Some speculate that these formations are man-made, potentially concealing the tombs of ancient emperors, while others believe they were created by aliens. So what is the truth?

هذه الصور لأهرامات آنلونغ، الواقعة في جنوب غرب مقاطعة قويتشو، أثارت جدلًا واسعًا في الإنترنت حول أصولها. فقد تكهن البعض بأن هذه التكوينات هي من صنع الإنسان، وربما تخفي مقابر أباطرة قدماء، بينما يعتقد آخرون أنها من صنع كائنات فضائية. فما هي الحقيقة؟

According to Professor Zhou Qiuwen, a geologist from Guizhou University, these pyramid-like formations are neither man-made structures nor emperor tomb like ancient Egyptian tombs . But, they are remarkable examples of nature's artistry.

وفقًا للأستاذة تشو تشيو وين، الجيولوجية من جامعة قويتشو، فإن هذه التكوينات الهرمية ليست من صنع الإنسان ولا هي مواقع مقابر امبراطورية على شكاكة المقابر الفرعونية القديمة، بل هي نماذج رائعة من إبداع الطبيعة.

العديد من التلال تُشبه أهرامات مصر في إحدى ضواحي آنلونغ.

Guizhou, a province in southwest China, is known by its numerous mountain ranges with steep peaks and deep valleys extending across the landscape. Anlong mountains are shaped by the dissolution of soluble carbonate rocks. These cone-shaped peaks are the result of natural rock formations dissolving over time. The vertical erosion by water has led to the original expansive rock masses being segmented into independent units. As this erosive process continues, the rocks at the top undergo significant dissolution, while those at the base are relatively less affected, resulting in sharp peaks atop wider bases.

تشتهر مقاطعة قويتشو، الواقعة جنوب غرب الصين، بسلاسلها الجبلية العديدة ذات القمم شديدة الانحدار والوديان العميقة الممتدة عبر أراضيها الطبيعية. وقد تشكلت جبال أنلونغ نتيجة تحلل الصخور الكربونية القابلة للذوبان. وهذه القمم المخروطية الشكل هي نتيجة ذوبان التكوينات الصخرية الطبيعية مع مرور الزمن. وقد أدى التآكل العمودي بفعل الماء إلى تجزئة الكتل الصخرية المتمددة الأصلية إلى وحدات مستقلة. ومع استمرار عملية التآكل هذه، تتعرض الصخور في الأعلى لتحلل كبير، بينما تتأثر الصخور في القاعدة بشكل أقل نسبيًا، مما يؤدي إلى ظهور قمم حادة فوق قواعد أوسع.

The rocks in Anlong are limestone formations dating back over 200 million years. The brick-like structures observed are also the result of natural erosive sculpting smaller to blocks, giving the appearance of man-made structures. Small cracks within the rocks allow water to slowly erode them, leading to segmented block-like formations rather than complete dissolution.

صخور أنلونغ عبارة عن تكوينات من الحجر الجيري يعود تاريخها إلى أكثر من 200 مليون عام. كما أن الهياكل الشبيهة بالطوب التي شوهدت هي نتيجة نحت طبيعي أصغر حجمًا من الكتل، مما يعطي مظهرًا لهياكل من صنع الإنسان. تسمح الشقوق الصغيرة داخل الصخور للماء بتآكلها ببطء، مما يؤدي إلى تكوينات مجزأة تشبه الكتل بدلًا من ذوبانها تمامًا.

Some of the formations are not that tall, and have no sharp pyramid like tops.
