وشم أنيق لوجه رجل من شعب الماوري، ويسمى الوشم بلغتهم "تا موكو".

Tā moko is a traditional tattoo practiced by Māori, the indigenous people of New Zealand. Māori men get their faces tattooed, as a symbol of nobility. As māori believe the head is the most sacred part of the body, facial tattoos have special significance.

تا موكو هو الوشم التقليدي الذي يمارسه شعب الماوري، وهم السكان الأصليون لنيوزيلندا. ويحصل رجال الماوري على وشم على وجوههم كرمز للنبلاء. وذلك لأن شعب الماوري يعتقدون أن الرأس هو أقدس جزء في الجسم، لذلك فإن وشم الوجه له أهميته الخاصة.

Since 1990 there has been a resurgence in the practice of tā moko for both men and women, as a sign of cultural identity and a reflection of the general revival of their language and culture.

منذ عام 1990، صار هناك عودة إلى ممارسة تا موكو لكلا الرجال والنساء، كتأكيد على الهوية الثقافية وانعكاسا عاماً لإحياء لغتهم وثقافتهم.
