The ancient town of Fenghuang is located in the southwest corner of the west of Hunan province, in China, at the foot of a mountain along the banks of the Tuo Jiang River. The town is exceptionally well-preserved, untouched by modernization, harboring unique ethnic languages, customs, arts as well as many distinctive architectural styles of the Ming dynasty, of 14th century, and Qing dynasty, of 17th century, to this day.

تقع بلدة فينغ هاونغ القديمة في الركن الجنوبي الغربي من غرب مقاطعة هونان في الصين، عند سفح جبل على طول ضفاف نهر تاو جيانغ. وقد تم الحفاظ على البلدة جيدًا بشكل استثنائي، ولم يمسسها التحديث، وهي تؤوي لغات عرقية فريدة وعادات وفنون بالإضافة إلى العديد من الأنظمة المعمارية المميزة لسلالة مينغ في القرن الرابع عشر وسلالة تشينغ من القرن السابع عشر حتى يومنا هذا.

There are preserved in the ancient town zone ancient residential buildings, some large and small streets, ancient lanes and alleys, as well as ancient town walls, ancient town gate towers, ancient leaping rock, ancient wells, ancient rainbow bridges, ancient temples of literature, ancient temples of poems, ancient ancestral temples etc., all of which are by and large preserved in their original state.

يوجد في منطقة البلدة القديمة مباني سكنية قديمةوشوارع كبيرة و صغيرة و ممرات وأزقة قديمة، بالإضافة إلى أسوار البلدة القديمة وأبراج بوابة البلدة القديمة والصخور القافزة القديمة والآبار القديمة وجسور قوس قزح القديمة ومعابد الأدب القديمة ومعابد القصائد القديمة ومعابد الأجداد القديمة وما إلى ذلك وكلها محفوظة إلى حد كبير في حالتها الأصلية.

Fenghuang Town used to be an uncivilized and wild frontier. Because of its unique geographical location, Fenghuang never suffered from the destruction of wars or natural disasters in hundreds of years. Fenghuang was spared of large-scale economical construction that happened in other districts. As the people of the ancient town cherished this especially valuable heritage bestowed by its profound cultural heritage, the local government has conducted a strict control over all the construction activities and thus successfully preserving the authenticity and integrity of the ancient town.

كانت بلدة فينغ هاونغ بلدة حدودية غير متحضرة وبرية. وبسبب موقعها الجغرافي الفريد لم تعاني فينغ هاونغ أبدًا من تدمير الحروب أو الكوارث الطبيعية على مدى مئات السنين. ونجت فينغ هاونغ من البناء الاقتصادي الكبير مثل الذي حدث في مناطق أخرى. ونظرًا لأن سكان البلدة القديمة يعتزون بهذا التراث القيم بشكل خاص الذي يمنحه هذا الإرث الثقافي العميق، وقد فرضت الحكومة المحلية رقابة صارمة على جميع أنشطة البناء، وهكذا نجحت في الحفاظ على أصالة وسلامة البلدة القديمة.
