This private garden was created by Charles Jencks, a renowned landscape architect, and Maggie Keswick, his late wife. They chose Maggies family's Victorian house, Portrack House which was built in 1893 and is set in 30 acres, to be transformed to the location of their dream. The unusual dream garden is located near Dumfries in South West Scotland.

قام بإنشاء هذه الحديقة الخاصة مهندس البساتين الشهير تشارلز جينكس وزوجته الراحلة ماجي كيسويك. وقد اختارا منزل عائلة ماغي الفيكتوري، والمسى بوراك هاوس والذي بني في عام 1893 ويقع على مساحة 30 فدانًا، ليتم تحويله إلى موقع أحلامهم. تقع حديقة الأحلام غير العادية هذه بالقرب من دومفريز في جنوب غرب اسكتلندا.

The masterpiece, that they created features landscape and sculptures based on the Big Bang, geometric fractals, twisting DNA helixes, and black holes. The garden is not abundant with plants, but sets mathematical formulae and scientific phenomena in a setting which elegantly combines natural features and artificial symmetry and curves.

والتحفة الفنية التي قاما بإنشائها تتميز ببساتين ومساحات ومجسمات تستند إلى نظريات الانفجار العظيم والفركتلات الهندسية ولولب الحمض النووي والثقوب السوداء. الحديقة ليست وفيرة بالنباتات ولكنها تضع الصيغ الرياضية والظواهر العلمية في بيئة تجمع بأناقة بين السمات الطبيعية والتناسق والمنحنيات الاصطناعية.

This private garden remains closed for the public, except for only 1 day each year. The garden is open to visitors one day only, through the Gardens program of Scotland. Often visitors are allowed during the first Sunday of May and the number of visitors is limited to around 5,000. The money raised from the one-day admission is given to Maggie's Center for cancer care, a foundation that was named after his the late wife who died of cancer.

تظل هذه الحديقة الخاصة مغلقة للجمهور، باستثناء يوم واحد فقط كل عام. إذ تفتح الحديقة للزوار ليوم واحد فقط من خلال برنامج حدائق اسكتلندا. وغالبًا ما يكون ذلك هو يوم الأحد الأول من شهر مايو ويقتصر عدد الزوار على حوالي 5000. تقدم الأموال التي تجمع من هذا اليوم إلى مركز ماجي لرعاية مرضى السرطان، والذي سمي على اسم زوجة جينكس التي توفت بالسرطان.
