A self-sufficient city accommodating 50,000 inhabitants floats across oceans.
مدينة عائمة ذاتية الإكتفاء يقطنها 50 ألف شخص تجوب عبر المحيطات.

Did all this vast land become so crowded? So they started thinking about building floating cities in the oceans? Do you remember the "Luxury Floating Villas on Sale in Dubai", that I wrote about? Now, here are floating cities and villages roam oceans or anchored at specific locations. Though I haven't yet received any sales promotion of such properties in such cities, but I expect that to happen by real estate developers who are bombarding me with ads for apartments and villas in different countries.

فهل ضاقت عليهم الأرض بما رحبت؟ حتى بدأوا يفكرون في بناء مدن تعوم في المحيطات؟ هل تتذكرون "الفلل العائمة للبيع في دبي" والتي كتبت لكم عنها؟ إليكم الآن مدناً وقرىً عائمة تجوب بكم المحيطات أو ترسو في أماكن محددة. ورغم أنه لم يصلني بعد إي إعلان عن بيع عقارات في مثل هذه المدن العائمة. ولكنني أتوقع أن يحدث ذلك من مطوري العقارات الذي يمطرونني يومياً بإعلانتهم عن تملك شقق وفلل في بلدان مختلفة.

Parisian architects Vincent Callebaut are known for their revolutionary ideas. Lilypad is one of those entirely sustainable self-sufficient floating city ideas: climate, environmental, energy, food, biodiversity, water and health. It is a true amphibian city, able to accommodate 50,000 inhabitants around a central lagoon of soft water collecting and purifying the rain waters. The floating city will travel across oceans, from the equator to the poles, following the sea streams.
