If an earthquake happened during dinner, people forget about food and run for their lives, but at the Disaster Café, in Lloret de Mar, Spain, people actually pay to experience a 7.8 quake while they enjoy a tasty meal.

إذا حدث زلزال خلال تناول العشاء، فإن الناس ينسون الطعام ويهرعون للنجاة بأرواحهم، ولكن في مقهى الكوارث، في يوريت دي مار في أسبانيا، يدفع الناس المال لتجربة زلازل بقوة 7.8 بينما هم يستمتعون بوجبة لذيذة.

The Disaster Café looks peaceful on the outside, except for the sign "dangerous place to eat". The ground level is an alien-themed restaurant for kids, decorated as a spaceship. An elevator takes thrill-seekers to "the depths of the Earth", where they'll be seated in a cave-like restaurant by staff wearing construction helmets and safety equipment. Suddenly while enjoying delicious food a simulated 7.8 earthquake strikes without warning and shaking the whole place, the tables, the chairs and everything. Lights go out, women scream, drinks spill out but the special heavy dishes will stop meals from flying off the table. Unlike natural quakes of this magnitude, there are never any serious injuries at Disaster Café.

مقهى الكوارث يبدو مسالماً من الخارج، باستثناء لافتة تقول "مكان خطير لتناول الطعام". طابقة الأرضي مخصص للأطفال على شكل سفينة فضاء وغزاة فضاء. أما الباحثون التشويق فهناك مصعد يأخذهم إلى "أعماق الأرض"، حيث يقوم الموظفون الذين يرتدون خوذات البناء ومعدات السلامة بإجالس الزبائن في مطعم يشبه الكهف. وفجأة وبدون سابق إنذار بينما يستمتع الجميع بلذيذ الطعام يضرب زلزال مصطنع بقوة 7.8 المكان كله، فتهتز الطاولات والكراسي وكل شيء. وتنطفئ الانوار وتصرخ النساء وتندلق المشروبات ولكن الأطباق الثقيلة الخاصة تمنع الطعام من الطيران من فوق الطاولات. وعلى عكس الزلازل الطبيعية من هذا الحجم، لا يكون هناك أي إصابات خطيرة في مقهى الكوارث.
