Did you ever thought of asking where is the world's capital of garlic?

Here is the answer, Gilroy, California. The city has been celebrating garlic, since 1979, in an annual event call Gilroy Garlic Festival, in July. Everything in the festival is garlic flavored, the air, the ice cream, the food - even cakes, the gifts, etc. Even Crunchy deep fried garlic snacks are available. A Miss Gilroy Garlic, is chosen every year. And when the festival is over you can always take garlicky souvenirs.

Last year's event drew more than 100,000 visitors and featured 50 live concerts. Admission to the festival is not free, it costs 17$ for an adult. If you are interested, mark the 25-27 July of 2014 for the thirty sixth annual Gilroy Garlic Festival.
