Much more visited than the real Dead Sea! Swimmers have no more than standing space!

وهو يُزار أكثر من البحر الميت الأصلي! وحشود السابحين لا يجدون مساحة أكثر من مساحة للوقوف!

Where is the Dead Sea located? I'm almost sure that you will most probably say without hesitation, it is at the end of Jordan river between Palestine and Jordan. Isn't it? But do you know that China has created their own Dead Sea in Daying County, Sichuan province. But, it doesn't look like the real Dead Sea except in one thing, the high salinity of the water. It even has waves, artificial of course. So, as the heat wave hits China, tens of thousands flock to it. What astonishes me, is that though the high salinity makes everyone buoyant and can never drown, they all wear colorful inflatable swim rings!!

أين يقع البحر الميت؟ أنا على ثقة من أنكم ستجيبون على الغالب وبلا تردد بأنه يقع عند مصب نهر الأردن بين فلسطين والأردن. أليس كذلك؟ ولكن هل تدرون أن الصينين قد صنعوا لأنفسهم بحرا ميتا في منطقة ديانغ في مقاطعة سيشوان. ولكنه لا يشبه البحر الميت الأصلي إلا في شيء واحد وهو ارتفاع درجة ملوحة الماء. وفي البحيرة أمواج، صناعية بالطبع. فحالما تضرب موجات الحر الصين، يتدفق إليها عشرات الآلاف. وما يذهلني حقاً هو أنه رغم أن ملوحة الماء العالية تجعل كل واحد يطفو إلا أنهم جميعا يلبسون حول خصورهم إطارات سباحة منفوخة ملونة!!

Less crowds can only be seen in non-seasonal periods.

إزدحامات أقل لا تشاهد إلا في الفترات غير الموسمية.

The Chinese Dead Sea is a holiday resort with an indoor man-made salt water lake with almost 9 times the salinity of ocean water (22% salt concentration: the real Dead Sea has 34% concentration). It is said that the water contains almost 43 different minerals and micro-elements. It is the considered the largest indoor pool in China with an area of 30,000 m2 and can accommodate 10,000 visitors at once. Despite the massive crowds the pool attracts millions each year.

البحر الميت الصيني هو منتجع عطلات يحوي بحيرة ماء مالحة داخلية ومسقوفة من صنع الإنسان وذات ملوحة تصل إلى تسعة أضعاف ملوحة المحيطات (أي 22% تركيز الملح في الماء: البحر الميت الأصلي تركيزه 34%). ويقال أن فيها ما يزيد عن 43 نوعا مختلفا من المعادن والعناصر المعدنية المنحلة في الماء. وتعتبر أكبر مسبح مغطى في الصين بمساحة 30 ألف متر مربع وتتسع لعشرة آلاف زائر في وقت واحد. ورغم الإزدحام فإنها تستقطب الملايين سنويا.

The pool also has artificial waves that sweep the swimmers.
