Minarets & Dooms of 1001 Nightsمآذن وقباب من ألف ليلة وليلة

When first I saw this astonishing photo I wondered where could it be.

أول ما رأيت هذه الصورة المذهلة تساءلت في أين مكان قد تكون.

It is Mahabat Khan Maqbara (mausoleums,) one of the major tourist attractions in Junagadh, Gujarat in India.

إنها أضرحة محبت خان (وتسمى محلياً محبت مقبره) وتعتبر واحدة من أهم النقاط السياحية في مدينة جوناغاد في ولاية غوجارات الهندية.

The two mausoleum buildings   مبنيا الأضرحة

The site has two buildings. One has a remarkable a combination of Gothic and Indo-Islamic architecture with stone carvings, columns, cornices, arches and domes. It once was the court of Nawabs of Junagadh. The second was a mosque and has four minarets on the four corners with spiral outer staircase. Construction started in 1878 by Mahabat Khanji in and was completed by his successor Bahadur Khanji in 1892. Located adjacent to the mausoleum is the more recent Jama Masjid with green domes and spiral minarets.

يحتوي الموقع على مبنيين. أحدهما هو مزيج رائع من هندسة المعمارية الإسلامية والقوطية والهندية ذات الحجارة المنحوتة والأعمدة والأفاريز والأقواس والقباب. وقد كان يستخدم كمجلس للنواب في جوناغاد. والثاني جامع له أربعة مآذن في زواياه الأربعة ذات أدراج لولبية خارجية. بدأ بناء هذه الأبنية محبت خانجي في عام 1878 واكمل بناءه خلفه بهادور خانجي في عام 1892. ويقع بالقرب من هذه الأضرحة المسجد الجامع وهو أكثر حداثة وله قباب خضراء ومآذن لولبية أيضاً.
