The Shit Museum (or Museo Della Merda in Italian language) in Piacenza, Northern Italy documents the history of feces. This museum is not the only museum worldwide. There are, up to my knowledge, four other poop museums. Most notably, The National Poo Museum at the Isle of Wight, UK, which exhibits real shit of various animals and even fossil shit. Three other museums, though they are not real museums, are in Tokyo, Japan and both in Seoul and Busan of Korea.

The Castelbosco farm, in the province of Piacenza, in the north of Italy, works to produce milk for Grana Padano cheese. It is home to 2,500 super-efficient, selected pedigree bovines that every day produce around 30,000 liters of milk and some 100,000 kilos of dung. A quantity of poop that the farm owner, Gianantonio Locatelli has transformed into a futuristic ecological and industrial project. Terracotta-like products are made from the farm's poop and clay, a material they call merdacotta. They make all kinds of items out of it including tableware.
