It is the Italian sleepy ancient town of Triora, on Liguria region hills close to France.

إنها بلدة تريورا الإيطالية القديمة النائمة على التلال في منطقة ليغوريا قرب الحدود الفرنسية.

Triora's beauty overshadows a gruesome Middle Ages renown, "the town of witches". Bad weather and crop shortages in 1587 led to the accusation that witches were conspiring against Triora. A group of women from Triora and nearby villages were accused of sacrificing babies to The Devil. They were tried, tortured, and burned alive between 1587-89. "La Cabotina", the place of their blasphemous rites still exists.

جمال تريورا يلقي بظلاله على الشهرة البشعة لها في العصور الوسطى "كبلدة للساحرات". فقد أدى سوء الاحوال الجوية ونقص المحاصيل عام 1587 إلى الإعتقاد بأن الساحرات هن من كن يتآمرن ضد البلدة. فاتهمت مجموعة من نساء تريورا والقرى المجاورة بأنهن يضحين بالأطفال الرضع لأجل الشيطان. فقاموا بمحاكمتهن وتعذيبهن وإحراقهن أحياء بين عام 1587 وعام 1589. وما زال مكان شعائرهن الكفرية "لا كابوتينا" موجودا.

Triora, nowadays, is a tourist attraction for witchcraft and horror lovers. Apart from its museum, it has witch shops, sign posts, sculptures, witch houses and various relics dotting the entire town. Triora also holds a series of folklore- and horror-themed events and festivals. It has three annual festivals: a summer witchcraft festival, in August; and two autumn celebrations: the mushroom festival in September; and Halloween, at the end of October.

بلدة تريورا، في الوقت الحاضر، هي معلم سياحي لعشاق صنعة السحر والرعب. فبالإضافة إلى متحفها، هناك محلات للسحرة ولوحات إرشادية وتماثيل وبيوت السحرة واثار عديدة في كافة أرجاء البلدة. كما أن هناك سلسلة من الفعاليات والمهرجانات الشعبية – وكذلك المتصفة بالرعب. فهناك ثلاثة مهرجانات سنوية: مهرجان السحر الصيفي، في أغسطس. واثنان من احتفالات الخريف: عيد نبات الفطر في سبتمبر. وعيد القديسين (الهالويين) في نهاية أكتوبر.
