At first sight, I thought that these fish are not real.

للوهلةالأولى اعتقدت أن هذه الأسماك ليست حقيقية.

But searching the net I discovered that they are real with vibrant unbelievable colors. They are called Siamese Fighting Fish (scientifically, Betta splendens). They are raised as pets in aquariums and they typically grow to about 7 cm in length and usually live around 2-4 years. Their popularity as aquarium fish and long history of captive breeding has created countless variations in shape and color. Siamese Fighting fish are known to be aggressive and two males in the same tank will typically fight to the death. (Source)

ولكن عند البحث في الإنترنت اكتشفت أنها حقيقية وزاخرة بألوان نابضة لا تصدق. ويطلق عليهاالسمك السيامي القتال (علميا، بيتا سبلندنس). وهي تربى للزينة في أحواض السمك وتنمو عادة إلى حوالي 7 سم طولاً، وعادة ما تعيش ما بين سنتين إلى أربع سنوات. إن شعبيتها كأسماك للزينة وتاريخ تربيتها الطويل في الأسر خلق منها اختلافات لا تعد ولا تحصى في الشكل واللون. ومن المعروف أن الأسماك السيامية عدوانية فلو وضع ذكرين في حوض سمك واحد لتقاتلا في العادة حتى الموت.
