According to Nikolsk Monastery's report submitted to Moscow government on February 27, 1782, Mrs. Vassilyev gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets in 27 confinements between 1725 and 1765. It is TRUE that Valentina Vassilyeva is recorded as having given birth to 69 children. But it is FALSE that the photograph shows Valentina Vassilyeva posing with her 69 children for two reasons. First, permanent photography was invented in 1800's; second is that this image, which appeared in an article about polygamy and published in the Utah Historical Quarterly, is actually for Joseph F.
