About 563 km west of Beijing, amid the remote vast sea of sand dunes of Xiangshawan desert of Mongolia, an architectural lotus blossoms: The Desert Lotus Resort. The resort hosts Mongolian-themed 1001 nights performances, camel rides and sand surfing, sliding down 110-meter-high, 45-degree sand dunes.
