Millions of Mosquitoes Attack a Russian Villageملايين البعوض تهاجم قرية روسية

No, they are not locust swarms or whirling dust. They are millions of invading mosquitoes!!

Just imagine swarms of attacking of millions of mosquitoes with buzzing noise that is so loud that even cars could not be heard. Creepy situation, that no one would like to encounter, right?

تصور اسراباً من ملايين البعوض المهاجمة تصدر طنيناً مدويا لدرجة أنه لا يمكن معها سماع صوت السيارات. وضع مخيف ولا يتمناه أحد، أليس كذلك؟

This is exactly what happened to the Russian village of Mikoltsy, in the Minsk region in May last year. The nearby lake is home for mosquito larvae. When larvae grow into mosquitoes they leave the water and gather in large swarms every year, but they are usually not noticed because they are blown away by wind. But on quiet and sunny days, they cluster as large swarms.

هذا بالفعل ما حصل في قرية ميكولتسي الروسية في منطقة مينسك في مايو من العام الماضي. فالبحيرة القريبة هي موطن ليرقات بعوض. وعندما تنمو اليرقات تصبح بعوضاً كاملاً وتترك الماء وتتجمع في أسراب كبيرة كل عام ولكن لا تلاحظ هذه الأسراب عادة لأن هبوب الرياح يتبعثرها. بينما في الأيام الهادئة والمشمسة، تتجمع في أسراب كبيرة.
