The above photo is of a street hairdresser on the elevador da bica in the center of Lisbon, Portugal. I thought that street coiffures, hairdressers, barbers is a feature of south east Asian countries, specifically China, India, Pakistan etc. till I saw pictures of street coiffures in countries like Portugal, Chile and other locations around the world. In South Africa and specifically in Johannesburg, the Kerk St open air mall is the home of street hairstylists.
