A traditionally neglected segment of mass transportation market has been the Amphibious Transport. A Maltese company by the name of Amphicoach undertook the task of designing and building a coach that is true amphibious vehicle. The Amphicoach is a fifty seat road coach, which has been developed over six years. The company claims that it can compete with any luxury standard road coach on the basis of performance, level of finish, passenger safety and comfort, ride comfort, stability and maneuverability.

هناك قطاع من سوق النقل الجماعي مهمل وهو النقل البرمائي. لذلك قامت شركة مالطية باسم أمفيكوتش بمهمة تصميم وبناء حافلة برمائية حقيقية (تسير على الأرض وتبحر في الماء). وفي هذه الحافلة 50 مقعداً، وقد تم تطويرها على مدى ست سنوات. وتدعي الشركة أنه يمكنها أن تتنافس على الطرقات أية حافلة فاخرة من ناحية الأداء ومستوى السلامة والتشطيبات والراحة والأمان والاستقرار على الأرض والقدرة على المناورة.
