The Blue Lagoon consists of steaming turquoise pools trapped in volcanic rock forming a geothermal spa that is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland.

The spa is located in a lava field approximately 39 km from the capital city of Reykjavík. The warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sulfur and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is reputed to have health benefits for the body and the mind specially for those suffering from skin diseases such as psoriasis. The National Geographic magazine has listed the Blue Lagoon among the 25 world-wonders.
ويقع المنتجع في حقل حمم عل بعد حوالي 39 كيلومترا من العاصمة ريكيافيك. ومياهه الدافئة غنية بالمعادن مثل السيليكا والكبريت ويعتقد أن الاستحمام في البحيرة الزرقاء له فوائد صحية للجسم والعقل خصوصا لأولئك الذين يعانون من الأمراض الجلدية مثل مرض الصدفية. وقد ادرجت مجلة ناشيونال جيوغرافيك البحيرة الزرقاء ضمن 25 من عجائب العالم.
