We all know what skyscrapers, but earthscrapers?   كلنا نعرف ناطحات السحاب ولكن، ناطحات أرض؟

Mexican architecture office BNKR Arquitectura have come up with a solution to the current problem for building space in Mexico City that doesn't imply tearing down the city's historical landmarks nor break the Mexican buildings law of going above eight stories – because the building is completely subterranean underground beneath Mexico City. It is a 65-story glass and steel inverted pyramid at the middle of Mexico City. If ever built, it will be the first ever "earthscraper" -- a 300-meter deep office. The design, is estimated to cost $800 million. The first 10 floors would hold a museum, the following 10 floors are assigned to retail and housing, with the remaining 35 intended for commercial office space.

توصل مكتب الهندسة المعمارية المكسيكي "بنكر أركيتيكتورا" إلى حل لمشكلة عدم وجود مساحات للبناء في وسط مكسيكو سيتي بحيث لا يتم هدم الأبنية التاريخية، ولا يخالف قانون البناء المكسيكي والذي يمنع الإرتفاع لأكثر من ثمانية طوابق - وذلك لأن التصميم المقترح هو مبنى بالكامل تحت الأرض تحت مدينة مكسيكو سيتي. ويتكون المبنى من 65 طابقاً من الصلب والزجاج بشكل هرم مقلوب محفور وسط مكسيكو سيتي. وسيكون لو تم بناؤه أول ناطحة أرض في العالم بعمق 300 متر. وسيكلف حوالي 800 مليون دولار. خصصت أول 10 طوابق لمتحف والطوابق العشرة التالية للسكن والتسوق، والطوابق الـ 35 المتبقية مخصصة للمكاتب التجارية.
