Cobblestone roads were the norm in old days before the days of asphalt and auto cars. Cobblestone roads are still used for aesthetic purposes on roads where traffic is relatively slow. Unfortunately, the process of paving cobblestones or bricks is labor intensive and can only manage up to 100 square meters of brick road a day. The machine is not totally automated and still requires two to three workers to feed the bricks, but much more efficient than manual methods; 300 square meters of brick road a day.
