رأس ومنقار وذيل وأجنحة حمامة بيضاء جميلة.

Peristeria Elata is the scientific name of the Dove Orchid. It is a free growing Orchid from Panama, with leaves 90-120 cm high, rising from large bulbs 12 cm high, and sending up its tall spikes of white, waxy flowers, in July, August, and September. The central parts of each flower present a very striking resemblance to the figure of a dove. The plants continue to bloom for two months when the spikes are strong. (Source)

الإسم العلمي لنبات أوركيد الحمامة هو "بريستيريا إلاتا". وهو نبات بصلي ينمو لوحده وأصله من بنما. ترتفع أوراقه 90-120 سم عالياً خارجة من بصلة كبيرة علوها 12 سم، مرسلة سيقاناً طويل تحمل زهوراً بيضاء شمعية في أشهر يوليو وأغسطس وسبتمبر. الأجزاء الوسطى من كل زهرة تظهر شبها واضحا جدا من شكل الحمامة. وتستمر فترة الإزهار مدة شهرين إذا كانت السيقان قوية.
