Now for a brief on traffic lights history. On 10 December 1868, the first traffic lights were installed outside the British Houses of Parliament in London. It used two gas lamps, red and green, operated by a police constable. The first electric traffic light was developed in 1912, in Salt Lake City, Utah, it also used red-green lights.
