The strangest skull ever found. Was it a sort of religious rituals?

أغرب جمجمة وجدت على الإطلاق. فهل كانت نوعا من الطقوس الدينية؟

This mysterious skull was accidentally found in an antique shop in Vienna, Austria. The shopkeeper said that the skull was sold to him by a man who said it belonged to one of his ancestors, a medical doctor who had traveled extensively throughout Asia. Once, he gave medical assistance to a Buddhist monastery abbot in Tibet. In gratitude for his services, the abbot gave the doctor a number of relics, including the skull. In August 2011, the new owner of the skull posted photos of it on the website forum 'Asian Arts'.

عثرعلى هذه الجمجمة الغامضة صدفة في متجر للتحف في فيينا في النمسا. وذكر صاحب المتجر إن الجمجمة بيعت له من قبل رجل قال بإنها تخص أحد أسلافه، وهو طبيب كان يسافر كثيرا في جميع أنحاء آسيا. وفي ذات مرة، كان يقوم بتقديم المساعدة الطبية لرئيس معبد بوذي في التبت. وامتنانًا لخدمات الطبيب، قدم رئيس المعبد له عددًا من المقتنيات النادرة، بما في ذلك هذه الجمجمة. وفي أغسطس عام 2011، نشر المالك الجديد للجمجمة صورًا لها على موقع منتدى الفنون الآسيوية.

The mysterious Tibetan skull, is thought to be about 2400 years old.

Very little is known about this skull. Unfortunately, its private ownership limits the ability of experts and academics to study it. Carved skulls are exceedingly rare. The existence of one created with this level of skills possibly has religious meanings and for sure is certainly a treasure.

Some people suggested that, in Tibet, carvings in the bone are made to take a curse off a family or to guide the soul of a mislead human on the right path to enlightenment.

Personally I searched the said website and couldn't find the item. It seems to be deleted. The secret of the skull, and most probably forever, will not be known.

وقد بحثت أنا شخصياً في موقع الويب المذكور ولم أتمكن من العثور على هذه الجمجمة، إذ يبدو أنها أزيلت من الموقع. إن سر الجمجمة، وعلى الأرجح إلى الأبد، لن يعرف مطلقاً.
