Far from being drawn or sculptured in any traditional or digital way, the following creations are created by split second photography of fast-moving droplets of liquids as they splash and fall through the air. The master of liquid photography, artist Jack Long, spends months painstakingly planning and testing each work before capturing it with his high-speed camera and associated gadget. In the creation of these remarkable floral and botanic liquid splash figures Jack Long uses water mixed with thickeners, pigments and dyes. The liquid is suspended in air for a split second when he shoots to get the moment just right.
