But, he uses a car mirror to trim his hair by fame; the only thing he grooms.

ولكنه يستخدم مرآة سيارة لتشذيب شعره بالنار؛ وهو الشيء الوحيد الذي يعتني به.

Iranian 80-years-old man living in the village of Dezhgah in Fars province, has not showered for almost 60 years. Villagers call him Amou Hajji. "Amou" is an endearing word in local language meaning uncle and "Hajji" means old man. The last record of longest time going without showers belonged to a 66-year-old Indian man, Kailash Singh, who had not taken a bath for over 38 years.

إيراني مسن يبلغ من العمر 80 عاما يعيش في قرية دزكاه في محافظة فارس، لم يغتسل منذ نحو 60 عاما، يسميه القرويون عمو حجي. وكلمة "عمو" باللغة المحلية هي للتحبب وتعني العم وكلمة "حجي" تطلق على الرجل العجوز. ووفقاً لآخر السجلات فإن أطول فترة قضاها إنسان دون استحمام كان رجلاً هندياً يبلغ من العمر 66 عاما، إسمه كايلاش سينغ، لم يغتسل لأكثر من 38 عاما.

Amou Hajji lives the most primitive life. His most valuable possession seems to be a steel pipe which he uses to smoke animal dung with. He escaped from the hands of a few young men who offered him free shower. His food is rotten meat of dead animals specially porcupines, because he believes that clean food makes him mad. He practices a healthy habit of drinking five liters of water every day out of a large rusty oil tin.

يعيش عمو حجي حياة بدائية جداً. فأكثر ممتلكاته قيمة هو أنبوب من الحديد الصلب يستخدمه كغليون لتدخين روث الحيوانات. وقد هرب من أيدي بعض الشبان الذين عرضوا عليه الاستحمام مجانا. وغذاءه هو من اللحم المتعفن لحيوانات نافقة وبالذات القنافذ أو حيوانات الشيهم، لأنه يعتقد أن الغذاء النظيف يسبب له الجنون. وهو يمارس عادة صحية جيدة وهي شرب خمسة لترات من الماء يومياً من علبة معدنية صدئة كانت لزيت السيارات.

Amou Hajji believes that cleanliness brings him sickness.

عمو حجي يؤمن بأن النظافة تجلب له الأمراض.

It seems that the reason behind his way of life, was some emotional setbacks in his youth. The strange thing is, that now he seems to be a happy jolly person, his roof is the starred sky; his patio is the entire horizon set before him and contrary to most of us and he has no worries of any kind.

ويبدو أن السبب وراء اتباعه هذه الطريقة في الحياة، هو بعض النكسات العاطفية في أيام شبابه. والغريب في الأمر، أنه الآن يبدو سعيداً مرحاً، فسقفه هو السماء بنجومها. وباحة منزله هي الأفق الواسع بأكمله. وبعكس معظمنا، لا توجد عنده أية مخاوف من أي نوع.
