This is what you will see if you visit Sip 'n Dip Lounge, the tiki cowboy bar. It was opened in 1962, and hasn't changed since then. The most unique feature of this lounge is the glass wall between the bar and the swimming pool, where customers can watch mermaid swimmers under water.

Is this fried egg dropped on the beach?

No it is not. It is a jellyfish washed off the shore, commonly known as the fried egg jellyfish or egg-yolk jellyfish (scientifically Phacellophora camtschatica). This species can be easily identified by the yellow coloration in the center of its body which closely resembles an egg yolk, hence it got its common name. It can be found worldwide.

In Oct, 2014 I wrote: Palestinian youths in Gaza are not letting their predicament get them down. On the contrary, as a personal initiative to develop their own physical skills, they practice Parkour among the ruins of their houses, which were destroyed during the latest seven-week Israeli offensive, in the Shejaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City. Parkour is a physical discipline of running and jumping focused on overcoming obstacles in the way of the runner.
