The Memorial Necropole Ecumenica III, in Santos, Brazil, began to be built in 1983 and was completed and inaugurated in 1991. It is the 1st vertical cemetery in Latin America and the tallest cemetery in the world according to Guinness Book. It is built on a total area of 40,000m², 90% of which is in the native and preserved area of the Atlantic Forest. It was conceived to solve a problem that had persisted for years in the city of Santos, the frequent burials in the middle of the mud, due to the groundwater presence in the region.

Wadi Al-Hitan, or Whale Valley, is located in the Western Desert of Egypt, in Al Fayyum Governorate, some 150 km southwest of Cairo. It contains invaluable fossil remains of the earliest, and now extinct, suborder of whales, Archaeoceti. The number, concentration and quality of these fossils are unique, as is their accessibility and setting in an attractive and protected landscape. Other fossil material in the site makes it possible to reconstruct the surrounding environmental and ecological conditions of the time.
| يقع وادي الحيتان في صحراء مصر الغربيّة التابعة لمحافظة الفيوم على بعد 150 كيلومترا من العاصمة القاهرة. وفيه بقايا أحفوريّة متحجّرة نفيسة عن فصيلة الحيتان القديمة والمنقرضة اليوم. تمثّل هذه البقايا المتحجرة. وهذه البقايا الأحفوريّة بعددها وتركّزها ونوعيّتها فريدة من نوعها تماماً وكذلك الوصول إليها ووجودها في موقع جميل ومحمي. وتتيح متحجرات أخرى متوفرة في الموقع التعرف على البيئة والظروف البيئية في تلك الحقبة.
