These gorgeous red luscious lips belong to a plant known as Psychotria Elata, a tropical tree found in the rain forests of Central and South American countries like Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador. Psychotria Elata is called Hooker's Lips or the Hot Lips Plants. The plant attracts pollinators including hummingbirds and butterflies to kiss its lips, so transferring pollen from flower stamen to pollinate the ovary.

It is believed that singeing originated in the Middle East and found its way to other countries. In this technique hair is smoldered with a lit wand by getting close to hair tips. Warning! Trying this at home could have disastrous consequences, because hair catches fire very fast and could burn the whole head.
